Dr. Constantin Papadas
Dr. Papadas was born in Greece in 1966. He graduated from the Computer Science Dpt., Univ. of Crete, Greece in 1988. He received the Master Degree for his work on the reliability issues of MOS capacitors from the Inst. Nationale Polytechnique de Grenoble, Grenoble, France in 1991, and the Ph.D. Degree for his work on nonvolatile memories in 1993 from the same institute.
From 1986 to 1988 he was a Research Assistant at the Inst. of Electronics Structure and Laser, III-V Microelectronics Group, Foundation for Research and Technology, Crete, Greece, working on III-V compounds. In 1989 he joined the Laboratoire de Physique des Composants a Semiconducteurs, Grenoble, France, working on MOS devices. From 1991 to 1992 has was scientific consultant at SGS-Thomson Microelectronics, Central R&D Labs, Grenoble, France, concerned with trapping properties in thin dielectrics. From 1992 to 1994 he was working as a senior reliability engineer within the Central R&D Labs of SGS-Thomson Microelectronics, Grenoble and Crolles, France. From 1995 to 1996 he was with the Inst. of Microelectronics, NCSR Democritos, Attiki, Greece for a one-year sabbatical period. From 1996 till 2000 he was with the Central R&D Technology of ST Microelectronics, Crolles, France, and he was responsible for the very innovative CMOS devices development program. In parallel he was member of the managing team of Gressi, a joint venture between CEA (Commissariat a l’Energie Atomique) and France Telecom, making research on microelectronics and HW systems.
Since 2000, he is managing Integrated System Development S.A. (www.isd.gr), an independent organization existing and operating under the laws of Greece having as primary mission to perform ASIC design and integrated system (composed of SW and HW components) development and validation for selected customers like ST Microelectronics, HP Labs, Airbus Defense & Space, Dassault, ThalesAlenia Space, Leonardo, ESA, etc.
Since 2014, he is the director of Advanced System Development and User Services SA (www.astus-sa.com), an ISD SA controlled company existing and operating under the laws of France.
Dr. Papadas is the main author or co-author of 40 publications in refereed international journals and 70 communications in referred international conferences (most with edited proceedings). He has also been awarded 9 US and Japanese patents, relevant to device architecture (Non Volatile Memories, One Time Programmable devices, Transistors), electrostatic discharge and design. Moreover, he has supervised several MSc and PhD students
